Photobooks offer a unique way of viewing the world, ranging from handmade artist books and limited self-published editions to mass-printed publications. Through delicate perspectives and rich emotions, they create a more diverse, inclusive, and creative experience.
This exhibition area features 12 artists and book creators who, through the medium of photobooks, explore themes of landscapes and cities. They document and present the diverse natural scenery and urban landscapes of the island of Taiwan, as well as the interactions between humans and nature. These photobooks not only showcase the intertwining of the modern and the past, capturing moments of rapid urban change, but also deeply reflect the emotional connections between people and their environments. They demonstrate how individuals coexist with nature amid the processes of urbanization. Through their perspectives, we are invited to re-examine the environments we inhabit and to seek a sense of belonging and identity within the ever-changing landscapes.
The photobook exhibition area leads viewers to deeply explore the changes in Taiwan's natural and urban landscapes, showcasing rich visual depth and diversity.
